Columns vs Cards display options
Added Customization for Columns
You can now control the size and style of cards in your Columns Layout.
Size Options: Choose from Small, Medium, Default, or XL. The size determines the width of each card in the layout. For example, Small allows more cards to fit across a row, while XL makes each card larger and more detailed.
Card Style: Choose between Card and Simple.
The card adds a visible border around each card.
Simple removes the border for a cleaner look.
This allows you to balance clarity with compactness depending on the data you are displaying.
Sort and Limit
Sorting and limiting records helps keep the Columns Layout clean and focused.
Sort: Choose a field to order your records by. You can sort by text (A–Z), numbers (ascending or descending), or dates (newest or oldest first). This ensures the most important or relevant records are always easy to find.
Limit: Set a maximum number of records to display per column. This prevents long lists from cluttering the view and helps users focus on the most recent or highest-priority records.
Example: In a task board, you might sort tasks by Due Date and limit each column to 10 tasks so that the board remains easy to scan.
Additional Buttons
New interactive buttons have been added to give users more flexibility:
Navigation Button: Add buttons that link users to other pages within your app or even to external URLs.
Record Buttons: Add action buttons directly on each card, allowing quick actions such as editing, updating, or triggering a workflow.
Record Colors: Apply colors to records based on conditions, making it easy to visually identify status or category (e.g., red for overdue tasks, green for completed ones).
Troubleshooting Steps
Why are the cards too wide or too narrow?
Check the card size setting controls the width. Adjust between Small, Medium, Default, or XL to fit the page layout.
Borders are not showing on cards. The layout may be set to Simple style. Switch to Card style if you want borders around each record.
Sort and Limit
Records are not appearing in the expected order. The chosen order might not be the one you are looking for. Try exploring the choices in the dropdown until you find one that suits you.
Records showing before are not showing anymore
A pagination limit may be applied. Review the Limit setting and increase it if you want more records displayed. IF you do not want any pagination, you can choose None
Buttons and Colors
The Navigation button does not work. The URL or page link may be missing or incorrect. Re-check the Navigation Button settings and confirm the link is valid.
Record colors are not showing correctly. The color rules may not match the data values. Review your conditions and ensure they align with the records (e.g., “Status = Completed” must exactly match the field value).
